Dunedin East was a parliamentary electorate in the city of Dunedin in the Otago Region of New Zealand from 1881 to 1890.

Dunedin East is one of the electorates that replaced the three-member City of Dunedin electorate.[1] The other two electorate formed in 1881 are Dunedin Central[2] and Peninsula[3].
The electorate was represented by three Members of Parliament:[2][4]
